FOR THE LOVE OF THE MANKIND
THE SOLEMN FEASTS
The Peace of God be with you all:
1. God has three great solemn fests during the
year
Three times thou shalt keep
a feast unto me in the year. Three times in the year all thy males shall appear
before the Lord Jehovah (Exodus 23:14,17).
Three times in the year
shall all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, the God of Israel (Exodus
34:23).
2. ¿What
are those feasts?
Three times in a year shall
all thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose:
in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast
of tabernacles; and they shall not appear before Jehovah empty (Deuteronomy
16:16).
a). The Feast of Unleavened bread
Now the feast of unleavened
bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover (Luke 22:1).
b). The Feast
of Weeks
And when the day of
Pentecost was now come, they were all together in one place (Acts 2:1).
c). The
Feast of Tabernacles
Now the feast of the Jews,
the feast of tabernacles, was at hand (John 7:2).
3.
All human being must assist to those feasts
And Moses said, We will go
with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our
flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto Jehovah
(Exodus 10:9).
And thou shalt rejoice in
thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy
maid-servant, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the
widow, that are within thy gates (Deuteronomy 16:14).
And all the people went
their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth,
because they had understood the words that were declared unto them (Nehemiah
8:12).
4.
The feasts are holy convocations
Speak unto the children of
Israel, and say unto them, The set feasts of Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim
to be holy convocations, even these are my set feasts. Six days shall work be
done: but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation;
ye shall do no manner of work: it is a sabbath unto Jehovah in all your
dwellings. These are the set feasts of Jehovah, even holy convocations, which
ye shall proclaim in their appointed season (Leviticus 23:2 to 4).
In the first day shall be a
holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work. And on the seventh day ye shall
have a holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work (Numbers 28:18,25).
These are the set feasts of
Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering
made by fire unto Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and a meal-offering, a sacrifice,
and drink-offerings, each on its own day (Leviticus 23:37).
5.
The feast takes place during seven days
Seven days shalt thou keep
a feast unto Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah shall choose; because
Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the work of
thy hands, and thou shalt be altogether joyful (Deuteronomy 16.15).
And ye shall keep it a
feast unto Jehovah seven days in the year: it is a statute forever throughout
your generations; ye shall keep it in the seventh month (Leviticus 23:41).
6.
All of us have to assist to the feasts with a lamb
Speak ye unto all the
congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take
to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a
household (Exodus 12:3).
And thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and
with all thy strength (Mark 12:30).
And thou shalt keep the
feast of weeks unto Jehovah thy God with a tribute of a freewill-offering of
thy hand, which thou shalt give, according as Jehovah thy God blesseth thee. Every
man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God
which he hath given thee (Deuteronomy 16:10,17).
7.
The Burnt – Offering has to be presented during the feast
And the seven days of the
feast he shall prepare a burnt-offering to Jehovah, seven bullocks and seven
rams without blemish daily the seven days; and a he-goat daily for a
sin-offering (Ezekiel 45:23).
After this manner ye shall
offer daily, for seven days, the food of the offering made by fire, of a sweet
savor unto Jehovah: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt-offering,
and the drink-offering thereof (Numbers 28:24).
8.
The punishment for not celebrating the feasts
For that nation and kingdom
that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly
wasted (Isaiah 60:12).
But the man that is clean,
and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall
be cut off from his people; because he offered not the oblation of Jehovah in
its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin (Numbers 9:13).
And it shall be, that whoso
of all the families of the earth goeth not up unto Jerusalem to worship the
King, Jehovah of hosts, upon them there shall be no rain. This shall be the
punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations that go not up to
keep the feast of tabernacles (Zechariah 14:17,19).
Egypt is not the country of Middle East,
Egypt is a symbolic word used to refer to all those nations who does not obey to
God, including the country of Israel.
9.
In the feasts, the believers receive the Blood of the Sacred Lamb and the holy
meal
I am the living bread which
came down out of heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever:
yea and the bread which I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world. The
Jews therefore strove one with another, saying, How can this man give us his
flesh to eat?. Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life
in yourselves (John 6:51 to 53).
And thou shalt take the ram
of consecration, and boil its flesh in a holy place. And Aaron and his sons
shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, at the
door of the tent of meeting. And they shall eat those things wherewith
atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall
not eat thereof, because they are holy (Exodus 29:31 to 33).
10.
The solemn feasts are perpetual
And this day shall be unto
you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to Jehovah: throughout your
generations ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. And ye shall observe this thing for an
ordinance to thee and to thy sons forever (Exodus 12:14,24).
11.
The Lord Jesus kept the feasts
And his parents went every
year to Jerusalem at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years
old, they went up after the custom of the feast (Luke 2:41,42).
Thou shalt therefore keep
this ordinance in its season from year to year (Exodus 13:10).
12.
In the feasts we must praise to God
And the children of Israel
that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days
with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised Jehovah day by
day, singing with loud instruments unto Jehovah (2 Chronicles 30:21).
13. The
night of Jehovah God must be celebrated in the feasts
It is a night to be much
observed unto Jehovah for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is
that night of Jehovah, to be much observed of all the children of Israel
throughout their generations (Exodus 12:42).
